Authenticated code execution via H2 JDBC URL
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025
SQL injection in Chat2DB 0.3.0 through 0.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted H2 JDBC URL. DataSourceController passes an attacker-supplied connection URL to the JDBC handler without rejecting the INIT property, causing H2 to execute SQL when opening the connection. Low-privileged access to datasource connection handling is required, and successful payloads execute with Chat2DB process privileges.
