Stored script execution via unsanitized event alias
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Scada-LTS 2.7.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through a crafted scheduled-event alias. The scheduled_events.shtm endpoint stores the alias value without sanitization, and the listing page later renders it as executable content. Administrator permissions are required to save the alias; viewing the affected listing then runs the stored code in another browser session.
