Heap corruption via V8 out-of-bounds write
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in V8 in Google Chrome before 139.0.7258.138 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted HTML. V8 writes beyond an allocated memory boundary while processing the page; Google has not disclosed the faulty function or missing bounds check. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled HTML, and the resulting corruption can compromise data or interrupt the browser process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
