Contributor-level stored script execution via unescaped shortcode ID
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in eID Easy 4.9.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the contract shortcode's id attribute. The display_contract_to_sign handler places the shortcode value into an iframe URL that is returned as HTML without adequate input sanitization and output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the persisted script runs in the browser of every user who opens the affected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
