Reflected XSS via unescaped request URI attribute
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Reflected XSS in fsheedy Etsy Shop before 3.0.7 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted WordPress admin-page URL. The plugin writes $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] into an HTML attribute without attribute escaping, allowing a quote in the request URI to break out and inject executable markup. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open the crafted settings URL in a browser that leaves the payload characters unencoded; the script then runs in that administrator's WordPress origin.
