Account enumeration via password-recovery response differences
Published Aug 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
Observable response discrepancy in Portábilis i-Diário 1.0 through 1.5.0 allows remote attackers to identify registered email accounts. The unauthenticated /password/email endpoint returns distinguishable responses for submitted email addresses instead of masking whether an account exists. Exploitation requires comparing high-complexity response differences, and the reported impact is limited to account existence without data modification or service interruption.
