Task hijacking in elseplus File Recovery 4.4.21 allows local users to present a phishing activity when the app is launched. The app leaves taskAffinity at its package-name default, allowing a malicious app with the same affinity and a singleTask activity to occupy the task root. The malicious app must be installed and opened before File Recovery on an Android version before 11; the substituted activity can capture entered information or induce permission grants.
