Stored XSS via unescaped Gutenberg block attributes
Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in BdThemes ZoloBlocks 2.3.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Gutenberg block attributes. Multiple block renderers place insufficiently sanitized attributes, including map markers, captions, gallery data, progress labels, and text-path URLs, into page output without adequate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload; the script then runs in the browser of anyone who opens the affected page, enabling actions or data access within that visitor's session.
