Subscriber-to-Administrator escalation via unchecked member permissions
Published Sep 5, 2026 · Updated Sep 7, 2026
Missing authorization in Nokri – Job Board WordPress Theme 1.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over Administrator accounts. The nokri_account_member_permissions function omits a capability check, letting Subscribers create members with employer permissions and change any user's email address. Subscriber-level access is required, and the resulting email change enables control of an Administrator account.
