Authenticated router crash via unchecked filename copy
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda CH22 Firmware 1.0.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted deletion request. The formdelFileName handler at /goform/delFileName processes the fileNameMit parameter without an adequate bounds check, overflowing a memory buffer. Access to the management interface with low privileges is required, and the publicly documented consequence is service failure rather than confirmed code execution.
