Unauthenticated account takeover via under-validated AJAX callbacks
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Authentication bypass in Drupal Authenticator Login before 2.1.4 allows remote attackers to log in as any user with a known username. The module's AJAX callbacks for the standard login form accept a multi-request authentication sequence without sufficiently validating completed authentication. No credentials are required, but exploitation requires a short series of requests—five by default—and grants the target account's access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
