Authenticated rating manipulation via unchecked rating parameter
Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025
Improper input validation in ThimPress WP Hotel Booking before 2.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to store out-of-range review ratings. The review submission path accepts and stores the client-supplied rating parameter without enforcing the intended 1–5 range. Subscriber-level access and an existing room review form are required; exploitation corrupts rating data without reported code execution or service interruption.
