Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked Time copy
Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2025
Buffer overflow in the AC20 web interface through 16.03.08.12 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via the Time parameter. The saveParentControlInfo handler passes the request's Time value to strcpy without enforcing the destination buffer's capacity. Access requires valid web-management credentials; an overlong value can corrupt httpd process memory, causing a crash or control-flow corruption.
