Object injection via PHAR signature deserialization
Published Nov 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 5, 2025
PHP object injection in Everest Forms Pro 1.9.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject objects through crafted form submissions. The signature handler passes an attacker-controlled upload path to mime_content_type(), causing PHP before 8 to deserialize object metadata from a PHAR archive. Exploitation requires a form with a non-required signature field and an image-upload field; consequential file access or code execution also requires a usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
