CVE-2025-8849Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory creation denial via unbounded payload processing

Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025

Denial of service in LibreChat before 0.8.0-rc2 allows remote authenticated users to block creation of new memories. The POST and PATCH handlers for /api/memories pass unbounded key and value strings to token counting and the Rust memory backend without body or character limits. Memory access and an authenticated account are required, and the reported failure prevents memory creation rather than stopping the entire service.
