Authenticated command execution via unsanitized staticGateway
Published Aug 11, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
OS command injection in Linksys RE6250, RE6300, RE6350, RE6500, RE7000, and RE9000 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The endpoint stores staticGateway through nvram_bufset without validation; internet.sh later extracts it for um_inspect_cross_band and uses it in a shell command. A valid session cookie and low privileges are required, and successful exploitation grants arbitrary command execution on the extender.
