CVE-2025-8814Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin record modification via cross-site requests

Published Aug 10, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in atjiu pybbs 6.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter user records through a forged admin request. CookieUtil.setCookie creates the session cookie without a SameSite attribute, while /admin/user/edit accepts predictable form fields without an anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content and can change a user's password, email, score, token, or profile data.
