CVE-2025-8792Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Profile data modification via missing server validation

Published Aug 10, 2025 · Updated Aug 13, 2025

Improper server-side validation in Litmus 3.0 through 3.19.0 allows remote authenticated users to store restricted profile characters. The POST /auth/update/details handler accepts a modified name field without repeating the browser's character validation and persists the value. The public demonstration used an administrator account; no confidentiality or availability impact is established.
