Stored XSS via unescaped icol shortcode value
Published Oct 3, 2025 · Updated Oct 3, 2025
Stored XSS in Mike Stott Epic Bootstrap Buttons 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through icol. The shortcode handler in epicboot.php places the icol value into generated button markup without sanitizing it or escaping the resulting output. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes in a user's browser when the injected page is viewed.
