Sensitive-data exposure via aggressive-mode PSK configuration
Published Aug 9, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Missing encryption in strongSwan on Ruijie EG306MG 3.0(1)B11P309 allows remote attackers to expose sensitive data through a crafted setting. The /etc/strongswan.conf processing accepts the i_dont_care_about_security_and_use_aggressive_mode_psk option and leaves sensitive strongSwan data unencrypted. Exploitation is network-reachable without authentication but requires high complexity; the published impact is limited to confidentiality.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
