Privilege escalation via unnormalized semicolon path
Published Aug 9, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Improper authorization in TDuck 5.0 and 5.1 allows remote authenticated users to access administrator-only management APIs. AuthorizationInterceptor.preHandle compares the raw request URI with literal sensitive paths without normalization, so a semicolon-modified path evades the check. A normal user account is required; the demonstrated result is access to sensitive management resources, with no published evidence of full system takeover.
