Unauthenticated command execution via path traversal and Log4j
Published Aug 9, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2025
Command injection in Xuanshao Spring Shiro Training allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands without authentication. The Shiro filter grants anonymous access under /static/**, so semicolon path traversal reaches /role/add, which logs attacker-controlled name data through vulnerable Log4j lookup handling. At commit 94812c1fd8f7fe796c931f4984ff1aa0671ab562, a crafted unauthenticated POST triggers a JNDI lookup and host command execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
