Stored XSS via unsanitized data-source names
Published Aug 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Stored XSS in Scada-LTS 2.7.8.0 and 2.7.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a data-source name. The POST /data_source_edit.shtm handler stores the name field without validation or sanitization and later renders it in the interface. An account permitted to create or edit data sources is required, and a victim must view the affected entry; script execution occurs in that user's browser.
