Stored script execution via unencoded category names
Published Aug 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in ZHENFENG13 MyBlog 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted category name. The /admin/categories/save handler stores categoryName without strict validation, while category, blog, and index views render the value without proper output encoding. Administrative access is required for payload submission; opening an affected page then executes the stored script in the browser.
