Administrative access via default SSH credentials
Published Aug 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 13, 2025
Use of default SSH credentials in TRENDnet TI-G160i, TI-PG102i, and TPL-430AP through 20250724 allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The public report states that the SSH service accepts a factory credential, but the exact credential-handling locus has not been disclosed. TRENDnet disputes practical exposure because remote management is disabled by default on the switches and TPL-430AP setup invalidates its default password.
