Published Aug 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Translate This gTranslate Shortcode 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via base_lang. The shortcode handler insufficiently sanitizes the base_lang attribute and emits it into generated page output without sufficient escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script executes when a user opens an injected page, enabling browser-context data access or page changes.
