Code execution via unneutralized object-name newlines

CRLF injection in PostgreSQL allows remote attackers to execute code when a dump containing a crafted object name is restored. The dump utilities emit attacker-controlled newlines from an object name without neutralization, allowing injected psql meta-commands to be parsed during restore. The attacker needs database access on the origin server and a user must restore the dump; commands run as the psql operating-system account, while injected SQL can run as the target database superuser.
