Root code execution via JKWifiService command injection
Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025
Command injection in JVCKENWOOD DMX958XR 1.0.0509.3100 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code as root. JKWifiService passes a user-supplied string to a system call without properly validating command syntax, allowing injected commands to run. Physical access is required, but authentication is not; successful exploitation grants full root-level control of the receiver.
