CVE-2025-8651Known exploitation

Root code execution via unvalidated JKWifiService system call

Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025

OS command injection in JVCKENWOOD DMX958XR 1.0.0509.3100 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code as root. JKWifiService passes a user-supplied string into a system call without proper validation, allowing injected operating-system commands. Physical access to the receiver is required, but authentication and user interaction are not; successful exploitation grants root-level control of the device.
