Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode table ID
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in WP Table Builder before 2.0.13 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via the wptb shortcode. The get_table method passes the raw id shortcode attribute to table_exists and reflects that value unescaped in its not-found response. Contributor-level access is required, and the stored script executes in the browser of any user who views the affected page, enabling actions within that user's session.
