Subscriber-level plugin installation via missing capability check
Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in WesternDeal's GSheetConnector for Gravity Forms 1.3.27 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to install plugins. The install_plugin function performs installation without checking whether the caller has the required WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and an installed malicious plugin can execute arbitrary PHP code on the server.
