Unauthorized plugin installation via unchecked AJAX request
Published Aug 21, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in WPZOOM Inspiro 2.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to install repository plugins through forged requests. The inspiro_install_plugin() AJAX handler trusts an attacker-supplied plugin slug and installs and activates it without nonce or capability checks. Exploitation requires a site administrator's browser to submit the request and permits unauthorized plugin activation that can alter or interrupt the site.
