Authenticated file disclosure via unsanitized lens paths
Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Peter Hebert Custom Query Shortcode 0.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server files. The query shortcode uses the user-controlled lens template name as a file path without removing ../ sequences or sanitizing the filename. Contributor-level access is sufficient; the consequence is bounded to file disclosure, with no reported ability to write files or execute code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
