JavaScript execution via crafted xrb URL
Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2025
Cross-site scripting in cronoh NanoVault 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted xrb URL. The xrb URL handler in main.js forwards attacker-controlled URL content to Electron's executeJavaScript operation without neutralizing executable input. Exploitation requires user interaction and low-privileged access; successful script execution can alter data displayed in the wallet renderer.
