CVE-2025-8523Public exploit

Credential theft via default task affinity

Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Aug 4, 2025

Task hijacking in RiderLike Fruit Crush-Brain App 1.0 allows local users to display a phishing activity through a malicious Android app. AndroidManifest.xml leaves taskAffinity at the package-name default, allowing an attacker's singleTask activity with the same affinity to occupy the task root. Exploitation requires a malicious app to be installed and opened before the victim app; the counterfeit activity can capture entered data or induce permission grants.
