Authenticated PHP execution via unrestricted code editor save
Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2025
Code injection in the Vvveb 1.0.5 Code Editor allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through a crafted save request. The Save method in admin/controller/editor/code.php writes attacker-supplied content to writable .php or .tpl files without blocking executable extensions. A user needs a less-privileged administrative role with Code Editor access; execution occurs with the web server account's permissions.
