Credential theft via Android task hijacking
Published Aug 3, 2025 · Updated Aug 4, 2025
Task hijacking in TVB Big Big Shop App 2.9.0 allows local users to steal credentials through a malicious Android application. The manifest leaves the default task affinity in place, allowing a malicious singleTask activity with the same affinity to occupy the victim task and display a phishing interface when the victim app opens. Exploitation requires installation and execution of the malicious app before the victim launches the vulnerable app, and the published demonstration applies before Android 11.
