CVE-2025-8453

Root code execution via trusted script configuration

Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025

Improper privilege management in Saitel DP 11.06.34 and earlier and Saitel DR 11.06.29 and earlier allows local users to execute code as root. A root-level daemon trusts a configuration file writable by privileged engineer accounts and uses it to launch custom scripts without confining their execution. Exploitation requires a privileged engineer account and console access, and permits full compromise of the affected device's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
