Stored script execution via unsanitized gallery data
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored DOM-based XSS in Essential Addons for Elementor 6.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through gallery data. The Filterable Gallery front-end script processes the data-gallery-items attribute without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing stored markup to become executable DOM content. Contributor-level access is required to save the crafted gallery data, and the script executes in the browser of any user who opens the affected page.
