CVE-2025-8433Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unchecked pathname

Published Aug 1, 2025 · Updated Aug 1, 2025

Path traversal in dell.php in Code Projects Document Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files. The script passes the GET which parameter directly to unlink() after only checking that the supplied path exists, without restricting it to the document directory. A valid administrative session can submit a traversal pathname and delete any file writable by the web-server process, which can interrupt the application.
