Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Sep 17, 2025
Stored XSS in Productive Style 1.1.23 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through crafted shortcode attributes. The display_productive_breadcrumb shortcode renders contributor-controlled attributes into page output without sufficient sanitization or escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload; its JavaScript runs whenever an affected page is viewed, enabling content changes or data access in that browser session.
