Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped cursor URL
Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in PowerPack Addons for Elementor 2.9.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via cursor_url. The Custom Cursor extension stores a contributor-controlled cursor URL and renders it into page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected page.
