Cross-site request forgery in Averta Depicter 4.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify document rules via forged requests. The depicter-document-rules-store AJAX handler accepts attacker-controlled rule data and writes it without validating a request nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator or editor to visit an attacker-controlled page, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized rule modification.
