Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published Sep 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor 1.5.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget attributes. The affected widgets accept contributor-controlled attributes and include them in page output without sufficient input sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the scripts execute in visitors' browsers whenever an injected page is viewed.
