CVE-2025-8356Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated RCE via traversed JMF file upload

Published Aug 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Path traversal in Xerox FreeFlow Core 8.0.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through an unauthenticated JMF request. The processIncomingRQEMessage() upload routine accepts a JMF-supplied path without confining it to the intended directory, allowing a webshell to be written into a web-accessible location. Exploitation requires network access to the JMF service on TCP port 4004 but no credentials or user interaction, and the resulting webshell runs commands on the server.
