Code execution via RFA parser type confusion
Published Sep 23, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025
Type confusion in Autodesk Revit 2026 versions before 2026.3 allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted RFA file. The RFA parser fails to validate user-supplied data before using it as an incompatible type, corrupting the current process state. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code in the Revit process; failed attempts can corrupt data or crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
