Authenticated arbitrary file upload via unchecked filename
Published Jul 31, 2025 · Updated Jul 31, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Viglet Shio CMS 0.3.0 through 0.3.8 allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary files. The shStaticFileUpload handler in ShStaticFileAPI.java accepts the filename argument without enforcing upload restrictions. Low-privileged access is required, and the bounded result is attacker-chosen file placement in the CMS static-file store.
