CVE-2025-8325Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via incomplete API permission checks

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Improper access control in WSO2 API products allows remote authenticated users to perform unauthorized Gateway REST API operations. BasicAuthenticationInterceptor accepts Internal/Everyone users without enforcing permissions required by the requested Gateway or Internal Service API. A valid account is required; Internal Service API exposure is limited to deployments that make those endpoints externally reachable, primarily API Manager 3.x.
