Credential capture via unsanitized error parameter
Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Jul 30, 2025
DOM-based XSS in Barracuda Networks Barracuda Message Archiver before 5.4.2.002 allows remote attackers to run script via a crafted URL. The login page reads the error parameter and writes its arbitrary JavaScript or HTML value directly into the page's DOM without neutralization. No authentication is required, but a victim must open the crafted URL; injected code executes in that victim's browser context and can capture typed credentials.
