CVE-2025-8312Network attack vector

Extended password validity via check-in scheduler deadlock

Published Jul 30, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025

A scheduling deadlock in Devolutions Server 2025.2.2 through 2025.2.5 and 2025.1.12 and earlier lets remote authenticated users retain passwords. The PAM automatic check-in scheduling service deadlocks and stops completing scheduled check-ins, leaving a checked-out password valid after its checkout period ends. Exploitation requires authenticated PAM access and a password checkout; the bounded effect is unauthorized continued use of that credential.
